The Debate Over Vaping Flavors Rages On

Are there any new “Vaping Flavors” products hitting the marketplace that will change the way people consume tobacco forever? It appears like there are many. One of them is called Minty Gum, and it’s been receiving rave reviews since it replaces the chewing gum most of us grew up with. But did it really change the way podsmall.com that people now smoke?

If you’re thinking about switching from the standard cigarette to an e Cig or an electric cigarette then you have to know that you’re going to have to learn a little about vaporizing flavors. That is different from normal cigarettes in that when you smoke a typical cigarette, what you’re doing is burning off the chemicals along with other materials that make up the actual tobacco. With these new vapour systems you’re actually replacing those materials with mints! You can find even some e Cig manufacturers that offer their customers exclusive “minty flavorings” on the devices.

So why do the researchers at the FDA believe it’s wise? Well, they’ve done a lot of studies to see how smokers would react if there is more of an focus on flavoring when it found cigarettes. In fact, one study actually compared the outcomes of two different flavors: one was menthol while the other was vanilla. Surprisingly, the researchers found that the increased flavoring resulted in smokers puffing more and smoking less.

Does this mean that quitting smoking with the Cigs is way better for public health than flavored vaporizers? Maybe not. There are a lot of factors that go into why we as a society smoke. Everybody knows that smokers don’t have quick access to free cigarettes, therefore the next best thing is apparently an electronic delivery system. And since flavoring doesn’t seem to be causing too much of a problem among current smokers, then perhaps it isn’t this type of bad idea.

However, it could also be the case that young people simply aren’t very into smoking. They’ve grown up with less contact with tobacco and nicotine. It could just be that teenagers are just not that “cool” anymore. It’s hard to assume that something once connected with cool teenagers is now connected with quittery, self-aware adults who would like to quit. I mean, really, how cool could it be to get a box of perfectly ground beans which has been flavoring chemically for months at a time? It isn’t very “cool”.

Also, some believe that the FDA must have more say over what goes into cigarettes. In the end, they regulate tobacco. Shouldn’t the government decide which harmful ingredients should and shouldn’t go into a vaporizer? Some feel that a ban on tobacco, plus a ban on flavored e-Cigarettes, may be the best way to prevent kids from getting hooked on the habit to begin with.

In fact, the FDA itself would probably reap the benefits of a flavored e-Cigarette ban. At this time they are cracking down on flavored tobacco and gum, but they allow menthol cigarettes plus some herbal flavors. Should they banned all natural mint flavors, then teens may prevent them altogether. Which could happen if teens are afraid to go through the trouble of finding a good flavored vaporizer.

But even without a ban, the FDA does enough to protect the general public. Right now they’re investigating e-cigarette technology to see if it’ll someday permit you to inhale vapors. The only real problem is there are so many complex engineering details that the vaporizer market hasn’t yet been developed. That means we won’t see any decent vaporizers until at the very least 2021.
